Clans of Ireland – Finte na hÉireann Order Merit Award Winners.

The Clans of Ireland – Finte na hÉireann was “established in 1989 as an independent permanent authority. Finte na hÉireann – Clans of
Ireland is the umbrella body for all Irish Clans and historical families whose surname is of Irish origin or who have a presence in Ireland prior to the Great Famine (1845-1862)”.

“The Order of Clans of Ireland is the highest honour that can be bestowed by Irish Clans. It is an order of merit conferred on individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to Irish culture and heritage or who have brought conspicuous honour to their Clan name”.

Application is through your clan with the announcement of awards being made on 17th March annually and the conferring of this honour at the
Annual Cultural Summit.

Clan McKenna are proud to have had two award winners in the persons of
Bernard McKenna of Monaghan in 2017 and Lt. Colonel Jerry McKenna, US
Airforce (Retired) in 2021.

Due to the pandemic in 2021 Jerry who resides in Boerne, Texas, USA
was unable to have an official conferring of his award
